Almost all of the midstream energy companies in the EIA coverage universe have now reported their calendar fourth quarter results and issued guidance for the coming year. Have any of your key takeaways changed for the sector?
Not really. First off, pretty much every company and MLP we’ve looked at since our previous Roundtable has mentioned self funding capital spending as a key goal, just as those who reported earlier did. What has been pleasantly surprising is how many companies seem to be succeeding at that, and without making new substantive changes to dividend strategy.
